1. Choose Your Seeds:
Pick the type of seeds you want to grow. It can be flowers, herbs, or vegetables depending on the season and your preference.
2. Select a Sunny Spot:
Most seeds need sunlight to grow. Choose a part of your garden that gets at least 6 hours of sunlight daily.
3. Prepare the Soil:
Remove weeds and rocks. Use a shovel or trowel to loosen the soil, making it soft and ready for planting. You can mix in compost to enrich it.
4. Make Holes or Rows:
Use your finger or a stick to make small holes or rows in the soil. The depth depends on the type of seed—usually, it’s two times the size of the seed.
5. Plant the Seeds:
Place the seeds into the holes. If you're planting small seeds, sprinkle them evenly across the row. Cover them gently with soil.
6. Water Gently:
Use a watering can or a soft spray to water the soil. Make sure it's moist but not too wet.
7. Label Your Seeds (Optional):
Write the seed name and planting date on a label or stick, so you know what is growing where.
8. Take Care of Your Garden:
Water the soil regularly, especially when it’s dry. Watch for weeds and remove them. Soon, you’ll see sprouts coming out of the ground!
